Leonie is a highly experienced media and strategic communications executive with nearly 20 years’ experience in the volatile aviation industry.

Skilled in issues and crisis management, corporate social responsibility, media and public relations, and reputation management, Leonie is a trusted adviser, company spokesperson, and creative thinker with a highly developed ability for solving problems quickly and effectively.

For nearly a decade Leonie led the corporate, media and crisis communications function for Australia’s third busiest airport. 

She has developed and delivered strategies for a variety of complex and high-profile projects including Brisbane’s new runway, Royal Family visits, international airline launches, the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and the 2014 G20 Summit.

Truly thriving during crises, she directed the airport’s 24/7 global media response for serious security matters, negative reputation campaigns, environmental contamination issues, extreme weather disruptions, aviation incidents and the COVID19 pandemic.

Jane Hedger

Jane brings executive expertise in transformational change, organisational resilience, disaster response, strategic communications and NFP corporate governance, alongside extensive delivery and transformation of healthcare services.

With more than 30 years working across Queensland Government and not-for-profit organisations as an executive, Board Chair and Non-Executive Director, she has weathered many storms.

A strong leader and problem-solver, Jane has been responsible for whole of government customer experience (250 websites, three call centres, and 47 service counters), state-wide media and communications for Queensland Health, the cultural transition to 1WS for the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, and large outplacement programs and significant infrastructure and policy projects.

She has overseen staff of up to 500 and budgets to $100 million, alongside delivering state-wide services, operational reviews, and providing pandemic, emergency and disaster communications management. Her board work has involved financial turnarounds and rapid service delivery change.
